Feeling the heat….
Enjoying a making day outdoors
Decided today was just too nice to stay indoors!
So armed with sunscreen, sunglasses, lots of squash and water I headed into the garden to make some earrings.
Being pale (and mysterious!) I followed the shade around the garden and hid inside when I was just getting way too hot! Burning is not my idea of fun - although my Husband may disagree when it comes to my cooking!

Now the weather is back to normal after that heatwave it doesn’t feel quite so bad to be thinking of Winter…
Sunshine!
Loving this sunshine but being very careful. My lovely pale Welsh complexion means that just a hint of sun and I go RED!
Suzanne is working her normal day job and is busy, busy, busy so not getting to enjoy the sun as much as me!
A friend is visiting this week so have to admit not a lot is being done by me - apart from eating and drinking even more than normal!
Promise there will be new handmade items added next week….

Sewing Machine Woes…
Do you ever have one of those days when you think your sewing machine might just not like you?
Mine definitely was not feeling it today! The thread breaking and getting jammed proved too much for me and I had to call in Hubby! Thankfully he wasn’t as scared as me about taking the machine apart!
All sorted now - I hope!

Holiday Relaxation…
After a few days on holiday with my lovely sister and our other halves its back to work….
We stayed in the Forest of Dean - absolutely beautiful - and very peaceful. Lots of time to reflect on what new makes we can come up with….

We are very blessed in Swansea to have so many beautiful parks.
My favourite at this time of year is Clyne. I would love a bag in the colours of the blooms out at this time of year.

Suzanne and I had a lovely few hours in Rosie’s at Perriswood in the Gower.
Delicious bacon rolls and lemon cake plus coffees were devoured whilst we looked at the fantastic view.

Getting very excited about the Pop Up Shop that Sister Makes will be part of over the Easter!
Opening the 9th April until the 20th April and based in Neath this is our 1st ever pop up experience!
There will be some new Japanese knot bags on sale that are not yet on our website along with some new versions of our popular Japanese rice bags and rag wreaths.

One Broken Necklace = 1 Bracelet and 4 Earrings!
Recently we were given some broken jewellery as the previous owner knew that part of the Sister Makes ethos is that we don’t like to throw out anything that can be given a second life and made into something beautiful.
After some consideration (and lots of fun) we managed to create 1 beautiful bracelet and 4 pairs of earrings leaving nothing to waste.
